“There’s two sides to every story”

Quite often many of the ancient Chinese proverbs we still hear today are so true. Here’s one I’m sure you’re familiar with “a fool and his money will soon part!” Here’s another old ancient Chinese proverb “He who laughs last, laughs best!” Or how about “If you build it, they will come,” (being a builder this one is my favorite.) Look around, do you see any new houses or buildings sitting vacant? Do you see any new housing projects sitting around half empty? “Very rarely”. For years most real estate developers and new home builders swear by the old proverb “if you build it they will come” the proof is that builders just keep on building and the buyers just keep on buying! I’m sure you’ve heard the old saying “there’s two sides to every story.” Talk to a police officer who is investigating a car crash, or two kids that got into a fight, “There’s two sides to every story.”

In my case this old proverb couldn’t be closer to the truth! For starters I’ve been involved in buying, selling, building, developing, and construction management for well over 20 years!

In addition I’m also well seasoned in creative financing and acquiring properties for little or no money down. Even today (07) in the so called “flat market” I am still continually finding lucrative money making real estate deals to invest in! In addition to being a highly knowledgeable real estate investor/builder/developer the other side to my story is all about music and entertainment. As a seasoned rock and roll, blues and jazz guitarist, (that has been playing the electric guitar for over thirty years) you could say I know a little about music! In addition to being a musician I’m also a comedian/actor, who is constantly involved in the music, arts and entertainment industry along with being a writer of over seven books to date (07).  Thank you... Some people live to work, and that’s fine for them although when I was young, I realized my main reason for working was not just to live but to... “live well!” Unfortunately a lot of people often end up workaholics in their quest to become successful but ironically most never even get out of debt. Their whole life becomes engulfed in their work many times working twelve to sixteen hours a day, only to sink further and further into debt year after year. Should they ever make any real money from working day and night, the few who do are left with very little or no time to enjoy it! This unfortunate but all too common scenario is solely due to people who never learned how to work smart therefore they have no other choice but to work hard. It’s been the ability to work smart by investing in real estate that has allowed me to become successful along with giving me the time to pursue my music and entertainment passions. Fortunately for me, I’ve always been able to support myself solely through real estate investing alone, (buying, selling, building, developing, leasing or somehow dealing in property in one way or another.) The bottom line is real estate investing has given me time, financial security and a clear vision of my future!

            Some people go into real estate becoming extremely wealthy in just a few short years only to keep buying more and more property therefore becoming wealthier and wealthier! I went into real estate to be able to support my music and entertainment projects and so far my real estate investments have been doing just that and a whole lot more! Let’s face it we all have different reasons why we get up in the morning and what we’re looking for at the end of the day. My main reason for becoming a real estate investor was for the freedom and lifestyle that now allows me to pursue my artistic passions all while investing a marginal amount of my time! Today I’m more focused on building wealth and financial independence by working smart because I’m not at all interested in ever having to work hard again! Take a look around, the wealthy and successful people of the world are surely not those who are running around twelve hours a day banging on doors selling products, swinging a hammer, or crunching numbers from dusk till dawn. Most of the world’s wealthy people either own real estate and or their own business of sort, thus they hire people to work hard for them! My main goal for getting into real estate was not just for the lucrative monetary rewards, but also enjoying the freedom and relaxed lifestyle that often comes from investing in real estate (I guess what I’m saying is, I got into real estate so I could make a lot of money without having to work too hard!) Fact: Real estate investing can be your vehicle to financial independence (should you have the time, knowledge, along with the capital resources behind you!) Although if you’re lacking the knowledge and or the time required to locate and properly manage a successful real estate portfolio (but you do have good credit and or the capital to invest), being a partner with someone like myself who does have the experience and the knowledge needed to find the lucrative money making, deals that I have continually been able to bring to the table deal after deal, not to mention my 25 year successful track record is surely your next best thing!
